THE WEEK" HONORS
Feb. 27,
2012
BOSTON (MA) -- Penn's Zack Rosen earns the Lou Henson award
national player of the week honors.
The
6-foot-1 senior scored Penn's last 16 points in a win at
Dartmouth. He finished the game with 27 points. Twenty-four
hours later he scored the Quakers final 9 points in the win over
Harvard. Rosen's two free throws with 23.2 seconds remaining
sealed the victory and broke Harvard's 28-game home court
winning streak. He finished with 20 points.
The Lou Henson Award is presented annually to the top Mid-Major
player in Division I college basketball.
The award is named in honor of Lou Henson who retired after a
spectacular coaching career that lasted 41 years. When he left
the game in 2005 he was sixth all-time in career Division I wins
