FINALISTS FOR 2011 DON MEYER AWARD
BOSTON (MA) -- The seventeen finalists for the 2011
Don Meyer NAIA Coach of the Year award were
announced on Wednesday.
The winner will be announced at the
CollegeInsider.com awards banquet on April 1 in
Houston, site of the men’s basketball championship.
The Don Meyer Award, which is presented annually to
the top NAIA coach basketball coach, is named in
honor of the game's winningest in any division in
NCAA history. In February 2010 Meyer announced his
retirement from coaching, but continues at NSU in
the role of Regents Distinguished Professor and
Assistant to the President. In 38 seasons at
Hamline, Lipscomb and Northern State, Meyer compiled
a record of 923-324.
