Seattle University tabbed Independent Champion
in First Full Division I season
 The
Seattle University men's basketball team finished
the 2009-10 season with a 17-14 record, achieving
the best record and RPI Ranking among all
independent schools this year.
Seattle U
becomes the first and, currently, the only NCAA
institution in modern history to have a winning
record in its initial season playing a complete
Division I schedule as a reclassifying school.
The
Redhawks' championship season included victories
over schools from the Pac-10 Conference, the
Mountain West Conference, the Western Athletic
Conference, the Big West Conference, and the Big Sky
Conference.
This
marks another historic season for Seattle U
Basketball.
