SAYS...
Have you ever been on a blind date and if so how did it turn
out? "I normally don't do blind dates, but about a year ago,
one of our sales reps wanted to set me up with his brother who was
visiting for a few weeks from Minnesota. I almost backed out at
the last minute, and I was really glad I didn't once we met. He
was a great guy, and he could have passed for Ben Affleck's twin.
Surprisingly, this was actually one of the better dates I've had
so I guess I am not as against blind dates as I once was."
What would you want him to know about you before you went on a
date? "It takes me a while to trust people and get close, so I
am definitely a girl who likes to take things slow in a
relationship and get to know someone before getting in a serious
relationship. So if it takes me some time to open up, don't take
it personal."
What's the first thing you notice about a man? "Height!!
I've always dated tall, athletic men so a guy that is over 6 ft.
tall and looks athletic will definitely catch my attention."
What qualities do you look for in a man? "Honesty is
without a doubt the most important quality I look for in a person.
Whether it be a friend, someone I work with, or someone I date, I
believe it is impossible to have a any type of relationship with
someone you cannot trust. I also like men who are family-oriented.
I think it says alot about a man when he is close to his family,
especially his mom."
What's the sexiest part of a man? "A guy with a great smile
and who isn't afraid to show it is very sexy. Unfortunately, those
are sometimes the ones you have to watch out most for."
What's the one thing a man can do on a date that would impress
you? "Being born and raised in the South, there is nothing
better than a Southern gentleman. When a guy opens the car door
for you, compliments you on how you look, or insists on paying for
everything, those are things I really appreciate most. The little
things go a long way, but are all too often over looked. Other
than politeness, I just like it when guys are themselves and don't
try to be something they aren't just to impress others."
If you had an extra hour in the day what would you do? "I
love the outdoors, especially the country. I really enjoy spending
time on the lake water-skiing or at my families farm riding
horses. With a coaches' busy schedule, those are things I rarely
get to do."
What would you like to accomplish in your lifetime? "I have
so many goals and expectations of myself, but I think above and
beyond is just to be happy. Happiness to me is not defined by
money, success or fame, but rather by the simple things like
friends, family and being able to have a positive influence on the
lives of the young people I am around everyday."
Do you have any pets? If not what pet would you want? "My
family is in the horse business, and I grew up riding horses
competitively. Along with sports, horses have always been a great
passion of mine."
What is your greatest sports memory? "There have been so
many great memories for me with sports that I can't choose one in
particular. Overall, I would have to say that playing college
basketball in the Southeastern Conference and being able to be
part of the NCAA Tournament, play on nationally ranked teams and
compete against some of the top female athletes in the world is
something I will never forget."
