Dunlap, entering his third season at the Mount,
joined the staff in head coach Milan Brown's first
season. Dunlap is involved with nearly every aspect
of day-to-day operations with the team including
working with the backcourt players and recruiting.
The former Old Dominion University star was the head
coach at Forest Park High School in Woodbridge, Va.,
before arriving at the Mount.
At Forest Park, Dunlap doubled the team's win total
from the previous year and he was selected as the
head coach for the first annual NOVA Hoops Classic.
Prior to getting the job at Forest Park, he served
as the varsity assistant coach at his alma mater,
Woodbridge High School, from 1998-2000.
Dunlap was a four-year starter for Old Dominion,
helping lead the team to two NCAA Tournament
appearances and two conference titles. Dunlap is
second all-time in the Colonial Athletic Association
(CAA) and third all-time at Old Dominion with 680
career assists (5.5 per game). He was a CAA
All-Rookie team selection in 1995 and a 1997 CAA
All-Tournament team member. Dunlap was named the
Chevrolet Player of the Game in Old Dominion's 59-55
loss to New Mexico in the First Round of the NCAA
Tournament in 1997. |
