THE FASHIONABLE 4
One year after Bacari Alexander became the first
assistant to win three titles, Bruiser Flint (Drexel)
became the first head coach to capture three crowns. The Drexel
coach was the only fashion veteran to reach the Fashionable 4 in
2010. Tom Asbury (Pepperdine), Robbie Laing (Campbell) and Buzz
Peterson (UNC Wilmington) all made their first-ever appearances
in the Fashionable 4. It was the most first-time participants
since the inaugural event in 1998.
As Flint was walking down the catwalk with his third crown,
Bacari Alexander set a new standard with his fourth title in
the Assistant Coach Tournament. It was fifth Fashionable 4
appearances in six years.
